So, apparently it was Oswald after all.
In preparation for the 45th anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the Discovery Channel assembled a team of experts to re-investigate the shooting. According to its program that aired last night, modern technologies like blood-splatter analysis and computer modeling show that the shots came from the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository Building.

In the first possession of overtime, Illinois State drove down to the Leathernecks 6-yard-line. The score stood even at 45-45. The brutally cold game had come down to one play.
Redbirds' quarterback Kevin Brockway dropped back to pass and the 'Necks defensive pressure was closing the pocket; he lobbed the ball to the corner of the end zone.

Last week, my roommates and I were robbed at gunpoint of our money and cellphones less than five minutes from UMKC's Volker Campus.
What started as a simple late-night fast food run turned violent and life-threatening in no time at all.
I write this piece in response to another Forum article I wrote earlier this year (see "Local crime cannot be ignored any longer," 9/29/08) and any dissent I may have gotten for it.

Car chase, gun fight, foot chase, knife fight, airplane chase, gun fight, explosions: that pretty much sums up "Quantum of Solace," the 22nd film in the James Bond franchise.
While the action is intense and gritty as ever, fans of 2006's "Casino Royale" will undoubtedly miss that film's more compelling plot and stronger character development.

With Halloween just a memory and Thanksgiving right around the corner, it is almost time to get those Christmas lists typed up and shipped off to the appropriate parties. This process of deciding what you want under the tree can be treacherous, so take my hand and let me gently guide you through the gift selection season.

Having written about Vietnamese, Korean and Japanese restaurants, I feel like we've been to plenty of Asian eateries. However, one of the countries I just happened to be missing was the big one with more people than any other country in the world.
But where do you go for good Chinese food? Are they not all just delicious buffets with the same dishes?
I was, until Wednesday, in the same legion as those that believe that Fayetteville, and most cities in general, has only Chinese buffets and some expensive Japanese establishments.

All I wanted was a box of Rice Krispies.
As my contribution to the American table at a study abroad fair here in Bremen, I had promised to bring a few batches of Rice Krispie treats. Does it get any more American than that? I had only forgotten one small detail: I wasn't in Missouri any more.

Whether artificial sweeteners
have been linked to cancer has been debated for a number of years. For those who do not want to take the chance, they have another alternative-
natural sweeteners.
Natural sugars are not synthesized,
as artificial sugars are. Artificial sweeteners are chemically treated whereas natural sweeteners are pulled straight from nature, without any chemical additives.

Clang, clang, clang goes the ... Beatles?
Surely not. Surely, Lennon, McCartney and Harrison never intended for their good instrumental works to ring by way of near-deafening, amplified bells while America's future scientists, artists and auto mechanics attempt to converse, focus on math lectures or simply survive hangovers.

When I saw "Sister Mary Ignatius," my first thoughts were that Speak Out was going to be getting a lot of calls over the weekend. I could certainly see how someone could find themselves offended by the material. But I never dreamed that it would result in a fiasco that could change the way the theatre and dance department chooses their productions.

As with most winter seasons, this year PlayStation 3 has released a volley of new games in every genre to get gamers and their families pumped up to spend a lot of money on flashy video games this holiday season. "Dead Space" is one of the winter hopefuls, and I am sad to say that it is not quite the emotional RIDE its television commercials make it out to be.
